Rita lives and plays with her husband and 5 children in the northeast corner of Vermont. She spent her teen years riding a rusty, 10-speed road bike, but after crashing it a few too many times on dirt backroads she discovered the nubbier tires of 1st generation "mountain bikes". As a mom who loves the outdoors, she aims to ensure her kids are riding safe and comfortable bikes so they are free to play on two wheels. Her family considers the Kingdom Trails Mountain biking network to be their homebase, but they venture out onto gravel roads, rail trails, and other mountain bike networks in the northeast whenever they get the chance.
